The Great Disruption: Impact and Key Shifts in Healthcare

Over the last 20 years, Rina Lamba has demonstrated her passion for administering and improving value-based healthcare services. Having covered a broad spectrum of roles on the frontlines as a nurse, and then in positions as administrator of a long-term care home, manager and currently as director (A) for York Region Public Health, Child and Family Health Division. Rina applies a human-centered approach and a focus on accountability. She takes the initiative to identify appropriate resources, efficiencies, and opportunities to improve the status quo. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rina was responsible for the redeployment of more than 400 staff as part of York Region’s COVID-19 response. Most recently, she was featured as part Schulich Startups for launching the High School Entrepreneurs Program, a mentorship program dedicated to empowering youth living in low-income neighborhoods.
